Alexandra Jane School Of Dance was started up in January 2011 by Miss Alexandra Lewis AISTD.
The school started as one Adult Tap class and has since grown in size and continues to grow.
Alexandra was a professional dancer for many years. Working in Theatre, Corperate and TV.
The school follows the ISTD syllabus and offers examinations, showcases and Festivals to every child.
PRINCIPLE
Miss Alexandra Lewis AISTD
Miss Alex originates from Nottingham and started dancing at the age of 2 1/2
. Her love for dance saw her gain a 3 year scholarship to attend the
prestigious Brian Rogers Performers College, in London. Whilst at college she
gained all 3 ISTD Associate exams, as well as a National Diploma in Musical
Theatre.
Since leaving college in 2003 Miss Alexandra has worked
professionally within the industry non stop. Credits include many corporate
events and extensive Cabarets work at 5* hotels in Corfu and Rhodes. She also
spent 2 years touring the country performing in plays such as "A Little
Princess" and "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe". Pantomime seasons have
seen her play Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty and a dancer at the Nottingham
Playhouse. Miss Alex finished her performing career by spending the last 3 years touring the UK with Timeless Theatre Productions, touring UK theatres
working as a Dancer/Singer along with the role as Dance Captain for
Timeless Theatre Productions in their Nostalgia shows. In March 2009 Alexandra
was lucky enough to be chosen by the company to dance in a tour of India for
them. She teaches at various schools in the Halton and Liverpool area and holds workshops at
Primary schools throughout the UK.
Miss Alex loves teaching and is looking forward to seeing what the children achieve under her direction.

MISS REBECCA LE BRETON-Assistant and Summer School Drama Teacher
Miss Rebecca is originally from Runcorn, and found her love of all things dance at the age of 3 when she began dance lessons at a local dance school. Here she trained in ballet, tap, modern and jazz under the ISTD syllabus gaining her examinations up to the Intermediate grades. She also undertook street-dance, singing and drama classes. Her passion for dance continued to grow and saw her study contemporary dance at A-Level, and now currently at degree level on the Dance, Drama and Aerial Performance course at Edge Hill University. Miss Rebecca is yet to begin her professional dance career but has performed at many venues over the years including The Brindley Theatre Runcorn, The Pyramid and Parr Hall Warrington, the Manchester Palace Theatre, The Lowry and the Liverpool Echo Arena. She has also taken part in a number of voluntary dance projects which included dancing at the arrival of the Olympic torch in Warrington during the 2012 Olympics, dancing for the Queen on her visit to Warrington during her Silver Jubilee, and performing in the Window on Warrington project marking the World War 1 centenary. Miss Rebecca really enjoys teaching and is eager to help the children find the passion and love for dance that she has, and is excited to see their dance skills grow, see them achieve, and most importantly see them having loads of fun doing so!
